4 Seasonal Weddings from Spring to Winter
Remember when wedding season was May – June? And if you did’t snag a date for your special day then you had to wait until next year? Well all that’s changed because now more than ever, any month of the year is yours for the taking! My husband and I love celebrating our winter January 2nd wedding date, and even back in 1982, my parents had an unconventional wedding date of November 27th. I love watching them celebrate each year amidst the Thanksgiving madness and am reminded that no season is the wrong season when you’re in love.
So if you are considering your own non-June wedding date, here are 4 weddings that prove any season can be a lovely one!
April showers bring May flowers in this adorable spring-themed wedding. Bright flowers counter a fitting cropped wedding dress and no color is off limits! Think of your own neon invitations and decor that speaks for itself. And who doesn’t love the colored cake and bright aqua vintage trailer! So bust out your sunglasses and possibly your umbrellas because this spring wedding inspiration is the freshest. See more from this photoshoot here!
Who didn’t love summer camp as a kid? All the badges you got to collect and fire-making skills you got to learn. Not to mention the forest is the coolest place for adventuring. How fitting then to have a summer camp themed summer wedding! This adorable couple didn’t skimp on any details, making this a romantic and unique party for their guests. From vintage furniture and a miniature tent setup to lanterns and a camp clipboard seating chart, this summer wedding is far from the norm. See more photos here!
If you haven’t already heard, October is basically the new May when it comes to weddings. Something about the end of Indian summer or touch of coolness in the air has brides falling for autumn. So it makes sense that this dark and moody harvest-themed wedding is a cool alternative to trying to convince yourself that peonies can be a thing for a fall wedding. With metallics, dark florals and accents of black, this wedding inspiration is anything but pumpkins and hay rides. See more from this shoot here!
We know that the winter season presents wedding obstacles like holidays, bad weather and, oh yeah, snow. But winter weddings can be magical in so many ways! Take this Nordic wedding for example—moss, antlers, berry florals and tons of wood accents—swoon!! And that cable knit sweater cake?! wedding cake goals. Even the fact that you can get away with wearing a non-white gown, like this bride did here, should convince you that a winter wedding can escape tradition and create a cozy world that you and your guests can enjoy.
